Is news trading allowed at Shark Funded?

The short answer
Not in the funded phase of Shark Funded's Lite 2-Step: trades must not be opened or closed from 10 minutes before to 10 minutes after a news event, a 20-minute window, with Forex Factory as the calendar. Trades opened at least 5 hours before a high-impact event may be closed in the window and keep their profit.
The 20-minute window
Shark Funded's Lite 2-Step article: "During the Funded Phase, traders are not allowed to hold or execute trades during news events, unless specific timing conditions are met." "Trades must NOT be opened or closed within: 10 minutes before a news event, 10 minutes after the news event." It applies to manual trades, pending orders, stop loss and take profit orders. For speeches the window runs from 10 minutes before until 10 minutes after the speech ends.

The swing-trader exception
